Lloyd Alexander Lloyd Chudley Alexander (Janu – ) was an American author of more than 40 books, primarily fantasy novels for children and young adults. Over his seven-decade career, Alexander wrote 48 books, and his work has been translated into 20 languages. [1]. After serving in World War II and studying at the University of Paris, he returned to Pennsylvania in to begin a writing career. Seven years later, after several rejections, Alexander published his first book, the novel And Let the Credit Go ().
